Lessons teach different methods. <em>Boil<\/em> means something different from <em>simmer<\/em>, and <em>roll<\/em> is different from <em>knead<\/em>. Pay attention to these differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The terms in the recipe may differ from those in the ingredient list. Instructions may use <strong>a general term<\/strong>: for example, <em>fat<\/em> refers to those fats (such as <em>cooking oil<\/em>) listed in the ingredients, while <em>flour<\/em> includes all types of flour listed in the ingredients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions also state <strong>how or with what tools<\/strong> to carry out the preparation: <em>with a wooden spoon, on the middle rack of the oven, with an immersion blender,in a pot<\/em>.
