- Always do your homework. Make sure you understand the topics in class.
- Revise key concepts and calculation rules. Make sure you can define new concepts: explain or write them in your own words. Use different memorising techniques for remembering rules. Remember to provide examples for new concepts or rules. Can you revise with family or friends?
- Practice calculations. Find initial information and conditions. It is okay if you have done the problems before; math skills need routine!
- Draw a clarifying diagram if the problem feels difficult.
- If you need a compass, calculator, geometry tools or a ruler for the test, make sure you know how to use them.
- If you need a computer or tablet during the test, make sure you can find the necessary mathematical symbols.
