- Read the texts aloud and check the vocabulary for parts you don’t understand.
- Read the dialogue aloud acting as one of the characters. Try to respond to each line in the dialogue by yourself and only then check the model.
- Read the vocabulary aloud: First, cover the Finnish side with your hand and recall the meaning of the foreign word. Then, cover the foreign language side and recall the meaning of the word in Finnish. Remember to check articles and inflections! Writing words down helps in remembering the spelling.
- Finally, complete the homework exercises. When working on grammar exercises, check the grammar instructions from the book. If you need a word, check it in the vocabulary to create a better memory trace. Don’t google it.
